Sir pwede parequest po ng design and analysis ng beam with fixed supports at both ends. Thank you po. Helpful po ng lectures niyo

yes i can consider that. isa sa mga topic of discussion ko is flange section analysis under negative bending which will fall under to that category.

Hi engr., ask ko lang sana sir kung magbabago po ba yung "bw" sa pagkuha ng rhomax if yung neutral axis is located sa thickness ng flange? Kasi sabi niyo po in 27:32 na yung "bw" in (rhomax)(bw)(d) is nakabase sa neutral axis. Magiging "be" po ba yun incase na yung neutral axis is in the flange?

hi. may video lecture discussion ako regarding diyan. you can check my playlist na RCD. Or you may see this link directly: kzbin.info/www/bejne/eJi4gqyJfpmFrJo also kzbin.info/www/bejne/iGOrhWaNi79ol8U

the direct answer as mentioned in the video lecture throughout the discussion is observe where "a" will lie to analyze if t-beam or rectangular, while the bw that was mentioned is the assessment of the rhomax and rho where the neutral axis will lie since bending will occur naturally on the neutral axis :)

Thank you sir. Medyo nalito lang po kasi ako dun po sa flange as t beam binannggit niyo na sa height of compression block siya magbebase. Thank you ng marami engineer. Sobrang laking tulong ng mga videos niyo sir.

also as an additional info as defined by ACI318M and Macgregor, an author of RCD books and author of ACI, Reinforcement ratio (rho) is the is the tension steel area divided by the effective area of concrete which is bd. "b" is defined as the width of the compression face of member where compression and tension is divided by the neutral axis. that is why the other way to interpret it to replace b by bw so that we will based bw based on the location of NA for simplicity. :)

@@kurotatsumi7074 actually nuon din nalilito din ako since yung definition ng b is broad. kaya the way i see it and some authors is to interpret b as bw then check na lang if bw=bw (beam width since as rectangular beam goes b is defined as bw) and the only way to identify b is to check where is the compression side and it is partitioned by Neutral axis :) i hope my simple explanation helps :)
