Mr Acker, I stumbled upon this video 16 months ago which, at 70 years old, inspired me to learn acoustic guitar. I had no previous experience of any musical instrument whatsoever, but I thought "wouldn't it be amazing to play like that". I've now had 16 months of weekly live lessons of 1 hour from a fantastic tutor. I've learnt music theory and I'm well on my way to playing jazz, and I love it! I know the years may catch up with me before I'm any good at Spanish guitar, but at least I have a new goal in life. A huge thank you Brandon 🤗🇬🇧

I played this for my guitar recital to graduate as part of my repertoire. This was the only piece I felt a close connection with simply because of how beautifully it was composed. To me, the transitions from minor to major throughout the piece portrays the ups and downs in life with the tremolo being the constant and continuous breaths that we take. And last but not the least, the piece ends on a "major key"(positivity prevails) . Tarrega was a Legend.

Just WOW ... four reasons: one: here, you prove your advice on an even tremolo. Two: you overcome the fretboard to produce an always legato, easily separated, melody line in both voices; three--What flow! ... no discernible position sound breaks! Three: the thumb/bass line stands so clear. And four: the treble then becomes so easy to listen to, separately and harmonically. Okay, and five: your (if-I-dare) rubato endows greatness to the piece that I've always hoped for. WOW, bravo! . . . .

I attended a boarding school for gifted kids in my youth and my roommate was a musical prodigy that knew all these beautiful classical pieces and always seem to win all the school talent competitions. He practiced every day and so he inspired me to get my first guitar and learn. He was only 14 years old but was willing to teach me. I played until my fingers bled and I eventually developed the callouses like him. He taught my fist piece (Bouree In E Minor by Bach), I eventually went on to learn “Recuerdos de la Alhambra” when I fell in love with the piece on the very first listen. Such a haunting but beautiful melody, a moderately difficult piece due to the tremolo technique but I persisted and developed the intuition and rhythm 🎵 for it. Well that was over 40 years ago and I don’t play as much these days but I still know this piece today by heart and never lost my fascination with it.

Very clean Tremelo. In my opinion the best version of requerdos de la Alhambra. I keep listening to him playing this. Now...2 years later...i am slowly starting to play this piece of music with the help of this guy free Tremelo lessons as a left-handed playing Right-handed on my Alhambra C3

Thank you Brandon because of this wonderful Tarrega's piece i've begone learning classical guitar. Im 17 years at the moment and currently im preparing under the ex student of Jovan Jovicic , one of the greatest Serbian Classical Guitarists who was a student of Segovia. Currently im preparing for my grade tests and solfegio tests so i could in future years go to University of Musical Arts in Belgrade so i could achieve my dream of becoming a concert guitarist/teacher. Thank you so much.

Tremolo is possibly the single greatest technique on Classical guitar. But, also the hardest to learn! To master Tremolo playing like this, is deservedly earned!

Una de las mejores versiones que he escuchado. Refleja muy bien la emoción y la nostalgia de la pieza musical por la ciudad de Granada y por su Alhambra ¡Enhorabuena,!

The crematoria in my city have bern ablaze for the last few days, wherever I turn there are wails of despair and cries of grief... The dead are piling up, one over the other remorselessly... I had been shocked and numbed by this onslaught of grief, but this piece helped me cry. Thank you. We need you, now more than ever. Stay safe, keep us in your prayers 🙏🏽🙏🏽

Thank you very much for this interpretation... Is one of the few pieces that I can recall my father, who passed away 1 1/2 years ago, playing... Thank you!

Way to go Brandon. Imagine sitting in your hillside villa and writing this breathtakingly beautiful piece. Wow! Probably the last thing he ever wrote. How could you do better?
