Shame WA have decided to put the live matches behind a paywall. I don't think €50 is good value for this subscription I'm afraid. Not the way to make archery more popular.

Exactly, the value just isn't there. They could try adding value, but I think, due to the nature of the sport, the price just needs to come down. I can't drive an F1 car or got to an F1 race so yeah, I'll get the subscription for 70 eur/year to see it live because a lot can happen. In archery I can do it myself and 99% of the time not much happens that can't be conveyed by numbers in a free-access results table.

Does your announcer get a lot of satisfaction from mis-pronouncing the Korean archers' names? I certainly don't from having to listen to him doing that.

The announcer can't even get the term right for when a judge "call" is needed and keep insisting that it's a "measure" every time. Don't expect much.

The announcer can't even get the term right for the first arrow of the match (which count for score), and frequently insists on calling it a sighter (which is a non scoring practice arrow shot beforehand). Don't expect much.

Shame WA, by restricting access for the public to watch this noble sport of archery for a fee, you are restricting the encouragement of new archers. You are limiting access to the archers dream. You do not allow friends and family of athletes who are fans and people who support those athletes to freely view. Athletes that 50% of archers go to international competitions just to shoot and pay 500 euros registration + 2000 euros travel, without putting the rest of the expenses of preparation, equipment, deprivation from his daily life for this purpose. Aiming inside the shooting range as well as outside it means evolution, physical and mental progress and gives you a life goal. A.S.
