That’s awesome! Love your small game recurve bow hunt vids. I got my first harvest this year with my recurve, 2 squirrels and an antelope jackrabbit. I like how you show the cooking process as well. Sweet bow, love that camo! Would be cool to see a review on it. I noticed you had an assortment of heads, what do you like best for those bunnies?
@feelthespiritofthewild10 ай бұрын
I’m actually editing the review for the bow at the moment lol. Hopefully, it’ll be up by tomorrow! I like those wide Cold Steel Cheapshot broadheads because I don’t mind losing them. They’re just a polymer serrated edged broadheads. I also like just cheap metal ones you can get on eBay or Amazon. That way if I wanna shoot at one running or in the midst of thick brush I don’t care about losing the arrow. If you hit them with that big of a broadhead they typically don’t move since they’re very frail.

If I’m not mistaken that bow is a bear Kodiak take Down. Love that bow had one and even had Fred sign it. Got to old to shoot it so sold it to someone who could use it the way it was meant to be used. 👍

I love this video so much dude! I’ll admit, I haven’t hunted yet but I do my hunters education tomorrow and I’ve always wanted to hunt small game with a recurve or a longbow (despite the amount of pain people describe it to be at times). This gave me a-lot of encouragement & inspiration of what I can do, and the recipe looks delicious and right up my alley! 👏

We didn’t near as much snow as normal here this year. We usually have 3-6 good snows, but this year we had 2. You almost have to have a snow so you can track em down to find em. I’m actually headed out to southwestern Oklahoma this year turkey hunting, and I can’t wait!

@feelthespiritofthewild , what broadheads do you use for small game?
@feelthespiritofthewild12 күн бұрын
I typically use old heads that are bent or the edge has rolled over. Other than that I use cheap Amazon heads or Cold Steel Cheapshot broadheads. It typically never passes all the way through, and I never lose that many arrows.
