@@feelthespiritofthewild Beautiful country there , looks similar to the Colorado low country foothills . I'm very pleased to see young guys like you out doing what has become increasingly difficult for guys my age , years and life's hard work takes it's toll on the body . Do you know of Catman Outdoors ? You two represent what is great about the outdoors ! Happy hunting!

That’s awesome! Love your small game recurve bow hunt vids. I got my first harvest this year with my recurve, 2 squirrels and an antelope jackrabbit. I like how you show the cooking process as well. Sweet bow, love that camo! Would be cool to see a review on it. I noticed you had an assortment of heads, what do you like best for those bunnies?
@feelthespiritofthewild7 ай бұрын
I’m actually editing the review for the bow at the moment lol. Hopefully, it’ll be up by tomorrow! I like those wide Cold Steel Cheapshot broadheads because I don’t mind losing them. They’re just a polymer serrated edged broadheads. I also like just cheap metal ones you can get on eBay or Amazon. That way if I wanna shoot at one running or in the midst of thick brush I don’t care about losing the arrow. If you hit them with that big of a broadhead they typically don’t move since they’re very frail.

@@feelthespiritofthewild that’s a good idea using the cheap Amazon ones for small game, thanks, love the channel and looking forward to your review and your bow hunts

FYI: Field tips/ target points is all you need.I have been doing it for almost 50 years.

@@KGPNBK this is true, it will work, I’ve got a couple with my compound with field points and wasn’t too happy with results and prefer something a little more. Thanks for response.

I love this video so much dude! I’ll admit, I haven’t hunted yet but I do my hunters education tomorrow and I’ve always wanted to hunt small game with a recurve or a longbow (despite the amount of pain people describe it to be at times). This gave me a-lot of encouragement & inspiration of what I can do, and the recipe looks delicious and right up my alley! 👏

Thank you! Good luck to ya! It sure can be hard, but it’s super fun. Plus, since it’s a small target, it’ll help you get really good practice.

Try moon shaped broadheads. Why the arrows stands up and easier to find in the snow.

I wish I could do stuff like this where I live but we don’t get much snow here in south east Oklahoma
@feelthespiritofthewild7 ай бұрын
We didn’t near as much snow as normal here this year. We usually have 3-6 good snows, but this year we had 2. You almost have to have a snow so you can track em down to find em. I’m actually headed out to southwestern Oklahoma this year turkey hunting, and I can’t wait!
