Hi Jennifer, sorry to bother you with this question. I am crocheting another mandala and it very wavy instead of a flat circle, I already have about 5 rows. How can a make more flat without taking out these rows? By the way I did finish your project, just waiting to buy the beads to complete it. It came out really beautiful! Thanks!
@celticknotcrochet2 жыл бұрын
Hello! So glad your first one came out beautiful :) - If your project is getting wavy, then you've accidentally added too many stitches. To fix it somewhat without ripping out, you should make the chains in between the ch-5 sps less for the next round (sc, ch 2) instead of (sc, ch 3). Or you could take out the last round of (sc, ch 5, sk 2) and skip 3 or 4 stitches instead of just 2. Hope this helps! Happy creating🙂
@gc00092 жыл бұрын
try decreasing the needle size or making your stitches tighter (with more hand tension)

Hi Jennifer , I just finished mine, however mine is so much smaller than a cd. What can I do, should I do another round of double crochets? I think my stitches are more tight than yours. 😕
@celticknotcrochet2 жыл бұрын
Hi! Glad to hear you are trying this project - I would do another Round 4 and then repeat Rounds 5 and 6 (as you thought) - since the mandala alternates between a solid round and a lacy round you can just keep doing these types of rounds until it measures the size of a CD. You can also make the chain lengths longer so they extend farther toward the edge of the CD. :) Hope this helps - happy creating! (Please send along a photo if you think of it)

Hello i am from the Netherlands and i like to know what yarn o have to use Cotton50 gram 125 mtr? and the hook size.? These CDs are so beautiful.
@celticknotcrochet Жыл бұрын
Hi - I used Size 3 cotton crochet thread and a 2.75 mm crochet hook - the yarn shown is no longer made but there are many other alternatives by other manufacturers. You could also use Size 10 thread in a double-strand or sock yarn.

How do change my tension for this project
@celticknotcrochet Жыл бұрын
There are many ways you can change the size of your crocheted circle. Here are a few things to try: For a smaller circle: - Use a thinner yarn/thread - Use a smaller hook -Eliminate the last 2 rounds of circle or however many you need to take off to have it be the same size as the CD For a larger circle: - Use a thicker yarn/thread -Use a larger hook - Add 2 more rounds by repeating the last 2 or however many you need to add to have it be the same size as the CD Please let me know if this helps you

(I just used google translate to help me with understanding your comment and to help me answer you - here is my answer in English about how many scallops are around the disc? Hello! I am not sure what you are asking but I think you are asking about the stitches around the disc. There are 20 ch-5 loops near the edge of the disc and then 20 scallops around the outer edge of the disc. Does this help?)

Can you use wool with 4 mm hook?
@celticknotcrochet3 жыл бұрын
Hi! Yes, you could it's just your mandala might come out bigger than the CD so you could use shorter stitches (sc instead of dc) or smaller chain spaces. If you have tight tension, then it might work out just fine for you. Have fun experimenting - thank you for watching! :)
