Hi everyone. I've been working on these DIYs for a few months. I wanted to give a variety of ways to spruce up your recycled shipping boxes. I have more ideas if you guys are interested in a Part 2; let me know in the comments below.

These are great! My only suggestion would be to finish the inside even if it is just using a cheap coat of paint or $Tree contact paper.

As I watch this video, I'm floored! These are exquisite! I love making projects with cardboard, I made a nightstand for my grandson's bedroom. Honestly I was surprised at how well it turned out. I think if you didn't make the lip, you'd risk the bottom edge of the box being seen.

The first one is a beauty and I want to make it. A suitcase would be interesting, or a variant on these to make them smaller, put a handle on top to make a make up case or overnight case? Wonderful work!!!

It would make the paper craft one even stronger if you went over it with polyurethane, or some other kind of sealer. I do love all of them tho.

I absolutely LOVE these boxes!!! My favorite is the braided packaging paper. The wooden one is beautiful but I don’t think I’d have the patients to do that one lol. It seemed a little to complicated for me. I don’t at all dislike it, I LOVE IT! I’ll have to stock up on those hats! I don’t think I’ll be throwing away boxes anymore!!

Could you see it if she dry brush a little color over the braids . A hint of lavender really would make it look like a hyacinth pattern.

1969 I was 15 ,we wanted to change the world. Make it better. So recycling became popular. I participated. But now I'm 67, a crafter, & my favorite craft; upcycling. Making things ppl throw away into beautiful things. All u upcyclers. You are heros. Saving our landfills & making something beautiful & functional at the same time. You really are changing the world 🌎. So who's with me ? Like this incredible demonstration, who looks at a plastic container & sees a barbie pool ? Or an old doll tattered doll with no arms & sees a pin cushion?. My favorite; a long necklace sitting in yr jewelry box, u don't wear but can't toss, cause mom gave it to u.? I make it into a 3 piece set, adding a few more beads, & wolla: A new creation. What do u upcycle or redesign? I'd love to hear about other projects from you unsung heros out there. Your boxes are absolutely beautiful!!! ❤️ I honestly don't believe I would have the patience to do the one with the wood planks. I know from experience crafting is not only gratifying, but relaxing. But just out of curiosity, how much did you spend to make the wooden one, how sturdy it would be, and is that one something you would do again? As I was watching, I was wondering if you maybe had considered just getting 2 sheets of plywood cut to desired measurements and make it. I really loved the pattern you did on the top and the final color. Just wondering about the sturdiness of it?

Ok, after watching several of your videos, you have given me an idea. I honestly don't think I could do it, so I thought maybe you could take a suggestion and if you like it, you could do it? Using the boxes, make a faux "old beat up wooden" window frame with a stained glass design in the panes. Or maybe just the oblong frame with one open stained glass design..and use that cut out thing that you did for your mini wall you made. I have always been drawn to stained glass and old window frames but can't afford to buy one. I'd love to see what you would make! I am absolutely loving your channel, Karem!!

You can buy glass paints to make faux stained glass. Also 'stick-on' lead.

I totally agree but disappointed that she left the project unfinished inside of the trunk & DID NOT cover up the ugliness. I definitely will be using different kinds of materials whether cloth, velvet, or satin for inside my trunk. I definitely will continue to enjoy watching her AMAZING creativity.

Very creative. One suggestion to make the boxes more finished on the inside, maybe line them with pillow cases. This is a great tutorial!

I agree. That is the only critique I have about the braided trunk and the sun hat one is the insides aren't as pretty as the outsides. Some muslin or burlap or plain knit cotton would have done the trick.
