Thanks for the video Priya, informative video👏. I have few doubts : 1. How to dispose perfume bottles , room fresheners bottles. 2. How to dispose glass jars like, jam jars or pickle glass jars .. I know bottles are disposed at supermarkets . Not sure of glass jars .. 3.house hold chemicals like.. cleaning supplies used for bathroom etc..

Cleaning Supplies + Perfume bottles - WERTSTOFFHOF/Entsorgungshof Glass Jars - as shown in the video, you can dispose in the Glass containers Sorry for the delay in reply. i had overseen your message.

Perfume Bottles made of glass can be disposed of in the glass containers. If they have odd colors like blue you throw it into the brown contioner. Other colored bottles dont have an effect on the brown glass in the recycling process. But they have an effect on the quality of the white recycled glass (the resultung white glass gets slightyly colored). Perfume bottles or room freshener bottles made out of metal belong into the yellow bag together with the plastc packaging or the metal container (depends on the recycling system in your area). These metal cans, especially if they are pressureised need to be fully emptyed before recycling. Full or half full bottles or cans of cleaners or toxic materials (oils, paint ect.) need to go to the wertstoffhof, there they will be handled properly. If they are empty you can recycle them normally in the right bin. If for example paint is already dried in the can and completely hardened you throw the whole can into the restmüll( residual waste).

Hi priya, Thanks for the important information. 1. Where can I throw ceramics? 2. Can I throw cooked oil with plastic bottle is restmull? 3. As you have mention plastic is not allowed for organic waste and in my house decompostable plastic also is not allowed as you have mention use bio paper it gets quickly wet example throwing tomatoes even though I keep for only 2 days. Do you have alternative solution to throw bio waste? 4. Where can I throw WD-40?

Ceramic (small quantity) - Restmüll, if huge quantity, Kindly visit the nearest wertstoffhof. Oil - small Bottle - Restmüll  Bio Waste - never heard that they dont accept Bio Plastic cover, didn't find an alternate choice for it. WD-40 - gelbtönnen

1. Household ceramic like mugs or plates is restmüll (doesnt matter which quantity). Building ceramic like tiles ect is Bauschutt and can be disposed of at the wertstoffhof. Small quantitys of tiles or buildin ceramics are no problem in the restmüll.

2. Yes, but tecnically its not allowed. You dispose of it at wertstoffhof. You can collect it over longer periods so you dont have to go as often. Mineral oils like motor oil is strictly forbidden in restmüll because its hazardous. 3. Just use a bin with lid. Its mire eco friendly than bags. Even the compostable bags are not really compostable quick enough, so they will get sorted out and burned. they are a huge pain for the compost facility. Use newspapers on the bottom of your compost bin so the food wont stick. Small quantitys of newspapers are allowed in the compost bin and are recycleable. 3. only if empty, gelber Sack. If full, wertstoffhof.

Glass bottles jars perfume bottles ect. (glass packaging) broken or not go into the right colored glass bin. Odd colors like blue into brown. If its a drinking glass wine glass ect. it is restmüll. The drinking glass or mirrors or flat glass like window glass is a different type of glass so it is considered restmüll.

Tube lights contain mercury, its hazardous waste, dispose of it at wertstoffhof or in the shop where you bought the new one, for example baumarkt. Diposal is free.
