This is so pretty, Marta. I am always amazed how you can turn a bunch of junk into beautiful art. And I always LOVE how you add to our vocabulary! Forever & evermore I will call the bottle nozzle a nose hole! For me this is bittersweet - my Mum also had English as a second language, she was Dutch, and she mostly learned English by reading so her pronunciation was often unique. Only one of the million reasons why we love you! 💕 ❤️ 💕

That was magic. When you turned the canvas, everything just slotted into place and looked so pretty. Of course butterflies always make everything that extra bit special. I must admit I was willing you to use the teal, but was glad you used the red in the end. Something totally unexpected and different. 😁x

What a nice change to see you trying black gesso. I have never bought any since I do not have other needed products to use it. You always make things magical though. What a great final piece! I love that you added the bling. I had my doubts at the start of the project, but you always make something great out of whatever products you use. Very cute.

I have a hard time using red on my projects too 😂😂😂. I love watching your art processes ❤️. Brushing with white gesso brings out the lovely details of all the embellishments, and I love that technique too.

Marta, I was able to reactivate some of my dried out Nuvo mousses by adding a bit of distilled water. Then I covered the pot with a bit of plastic wrap before adding the lid. Maybe your sous chef Emily can try this for you. I let the pot sit for a few days before reopening and stirring. It worked for most of the mousses.

Loved it as usual... to retrieve your NUVO embellishments, pls fold 1 wet baby wipe and keep it inside the jar overnight and covered with the lid. You should be good to go the next day and use it. Hope this helps. I did mine same way and it worked for me. 🙂 hugs from India.

I have the Nuevo too and it says to add water for thinner texture. Maybe that might work, if not, I’d send them back. The last color I ordered was on sale and isn’t very moist either.

I watched a video with Tim holtz and he was talking about things drying out and he said about a product called Distressed Refresher and it brings paints etc back to new.

Those Nuvo mousses look like they have the cardboard discs in the lid? If they are, then contact Nuvo and they will replace them apparently. They discovered that those cardboard discs suck all of the moisture out of the mousse so they were recalled and they changed the packaging!

my Nuvo's all did the same thing some of them I didn't even use yet and when I pulled the foil back they were already dried. I tried a few drops of water on top and put lid back on but that didn't work, I am so disappointed in the product they are not cheap and so sad when art supplies do things like that. I love this project thank you for sharing with us.

I had the same happen with my Nuvo's, so I went in search for a solution via the web. What I found, that actually worked quite well was adding several drops of 99.5% Glycerin to them along with spritzing with water and mixing that all into the product. Then after using them, I rubbed the Glycerin into each pot/jar and covered with plastic wrap before tightening the lid on. This has worked for me on not only Nuvo products but others that tend to harden. Hope this helps :) xx

I live in arizona... everything dries out! When im done with a product, i ducttape arond the lid, then stick the whole thing in a ziplock bag. Makes it last for about 3 months instead of a week..

Working on a very small canvas is actually not as easy as it might look. It's always fun to watch the developement of your projects. I hardly work with backgrounds as well. I am always afraid it will be too sinister.
