Wow! What a wonderful video to learn to make soap! But you only used three main ingredients: used oil, caustic soda and water and one additive (lemon grass essence). But you didn't add foaming agent like Sodium Lauryl Sulfate (SLS), Sodium Laureth Sulfate to make your soap form suds or foams while cleaning. However, I can see that your soap form little suds.

You can use KOH instead of NaOH if you want a liquid soap.

Yeah but 16% soda is quite a lot, you could get skin irritation for using that soap

@@annabellasutanto9930 It depends really on the type of oil you use, if you are making soap yourself look up on google 'saponification values' you should find a table, basically it's the amount of base needed to completely react with the oil and it is found experimentally but online you can find these tables which are really good approximations (good enough for making a soap at home). Just remember too add just slightly less base then needed (3-5%) just to be safe and it also makes soap nicer

Hi, kulit saya sensi, jadi kalau pake sabun biasa jadi kering dan panas. Jadi kalau cuci tangan saya pake sabun minyak jelantah. Aman sampai sekarang. Sudah 2 tahunan saya recycle. So far, sabun ini yg paling lembut di tangan. Tapi nggak saya pake buat mandi atau cuci. Bau minyaknya susah hilang. Kalau pake EO, tekor. EO mahal hehe. Yang alami gak mempan.

YOU use potassium Hydroxide... this is sodium hydroxide.... sodium and potassium is just one after the other is Periodic table. Lequid soap needs a lot of heating on low heat... time consuming this is simpler

Used cooking oil for soap making leads to skin diseases.I don't recommend anyone to make soaps from used cooking oil.Natural cold pressed oils are the only best option to make handmade soaps
