That second game has a very strong and opponent.. His use of rhino tanks is really suberb.. He managed to hit you with good play despite losing his MCV..

I know people having 1v1s in aoe and sc2 and having pro scene but i don't ever think ra2 can be strategic. I always thought ra2 pretty straight forward crush n burn rts game. So this spider move looks clever to me im like wow.

@@vindicta2276 Not to be rude, but I can tell you don't know much. The iron curtain terror drone tactic is used many a times to counter and kill as many tanks as possible, sometimes harvesters. (soviet ones preferably as the allied chrono lose the infection when they teleport to refinery.) Therefor, it's a valid strategy. RA2 might not be the absolute cleanest of strategic games, but it's very well balanced, and you have hard counters to units. Yes, RA2 isn't as competive as SC2 or AOE, but that doesn't mean it's not a strategy game. If you want real straight forwardness, the older command and conquer are like that. The remastered games are the same as well.

The things that always bothered me about this game is that the tank movement speed is unrealistic, you don't bother using other land vehicle units because you got tanks that move like Ferraris. And basically multiplayer matches always just turn into tank wars. They should just call this Command and Conquer Tank Wars. Another thing is that the repair using engineer is overpowered and unbalanced. Takes one engineer to heal a structure and the engineer heals it instantly. All units take roughly the same time to make, regardless of whether a marine or tank, This game take out a lot of crucial real time strategy elements. It feels more like a real time card game.

With RTS games in general, expert players will quickly identify the “best” units to produce and will almost always focus on producing those units in player matches over everything else. If the units were all perfectly balanced, player matches would then devolve into production races - whomever can produce more units faster. It’s just a matter of what you want the focus of the game to be on: producing the best units or the most.

You have much to learn. Watch pro-play. One thing for certain, always use the free G.Is from paradrop to fill up the fortresses. If you have enough, then just drop em in enemy base.
