The same trick of the spy and ifv, applies on engineer as well, also you may use flak transport, or battle forstress, not sure about the air trasport.

I've been playing this game for years and recently started playing chrono divide multiplayer online and find spies and the waypoint system useful , spies are handy infiltrating War Factories, Battle labs , infantry barracks and even to steal money as well as gaining advanced technology for units and useful to power down bases , especially infiltrating the Battlelab you gain chrono commandos

I don't know if anyone knows this, I find that if you damage you own barracks or war factories, and use an engineer and a spy at the same time, while the engineer is closer to the building you can make promoted units.

i think there are many other tricks.... for example, Chrono legionnaire if you double click manually when he is attacking the unit (double click on attacked unit) - it will disappear faster... Also when you manually target group of rocketers, kirovs etc with flacks trucks - it will shoot/kill them faster. manually target one unit within the group... like click click...

In Chrono divide, your spies seem to be easily spotted and shot by the men and rocketeers. The tanks also spot him but don't shoot him. You basically need to distract or eliminate the soldiers. I find this too time consuming, therefore I don't use the spies.

Not really. In a vacuum, the Soviets are stronger early game while the Allies are better late game. However, the IC makes the late game much closer than the early game.
