yeah but I am kind of upset for the wait although it seem as like they overestimated themselves. I think the songs themselves will be very good just that they need to practice on advertising themselves now that they don't have a label backing them

Super excited! One thing I hope they do is bring some of their ballads back. That’s one thing I really missed from Declaration was Michael’s softer singing. They really do put out some of the best ballads I’ve ever heard. Super excited for this. Missed RED so much. Just in time for my birthday too 😅

You never reviewed this album after it came out. But I would put forth that it is among their best work. It's new, different, almost experimental but still has that red flair at its core. Possibly one of my favourite albums of all time. This coming from a non religious person who just so happened to run into them almost 10 years ago. I've always loved the character and explosive melodic nature to their music, and this new mix of classic guitar mixed with synths and even orchestral instrumentals - (like their other best album Of Beauty and Rage) - really sold every lyric and beat as being larger than life. I couldn't put my thoughts into words well enough to describe the effect RED's music has on the ears, but I can't help but feel they are the best at what they do, their music is truly something special. I have seen people rag on this album, claiming that each song sounds 'similar'. I find this argument... silly. For one thing, They are all vastly different from one another with their own unique identity as a song. More importantly, however, to say this is inherently a bad thing would be beyond reason, i think. Each song is but one part of the album as a whole. For them to sound completely different from one another would destroy the identity and feel of the album. I feel like people who say this as a negative thing only really feel it because they don't ENJOY that identity. But for me, each song has it's own fierce melody, and powerful energy, with the vocal talent to match. I love how desolate it feels. Tracks like Last Forever, or The Suffering bring such cold, desperate energy while also having that signature RED twinge of hope mixed in. It took a few listens to the Suffering, but I love how discordant it sounds. The chaos and vitriol you feel behind the lyrics sent shivers down my spine. One particular highlight to me was Emergency. It was like the whole album was building up to this explosion of desperation and power. With that heartbeat like piano intro that develops into heavy guitar thumping, before giving away into this beautiful melody with Michael's clean and powerful vocals that balloons into what feels like this big, grand cry for help from whatever deity you believe in or lack thereof. When I listen to this track - and really the whole album, it sort of sucks me into an energy like no other album does, aside from Of Beauty and Rage. I'm fully aware that I say all of this with a huge Bias, but that's just how I feel about it. I loved this album more than declaration (which i also loved), and it sorta reminds me of one of their lesser liked albums; Gone. (Which I also loved lol)

I’m slightly disappointed we didn’t get a new single yesterday, but either way I am excited for this new album regardless. I’m also hoping this will be better than Declaration, which is not a bad album at all, but I enjoy EOS, I&I, UWHF, and OBAR the most!!!

honestly, i love Red so damn much, that i'm stoked about this album. And chances are, i'm gonna love it no matter what's on it. I might not LOVE every single song they put out, but on the whole, i still really enjoy there music, and i think there were some great tracks on Declaration. at this point i've been a fan for nearly 2 decades, so i'm kind of committed lol. I'm in for the long haul with them, so whatever they got, i'm here for it, delays or no. I'm still gonna listen, and i'm sure i'll hear a few songs that make me really happy. maybe a bunch if i'm real lucky

End of Silence is my favorite Red album probably. That or Until We Have Faces. I just want them to recapture that sound with this album. Sure, heavy, whatever, but I really want some ballads. Some more heartfelt songs is what I am looking for. Something like Let it Burn or Pieces. Also, I do have faith Joe Rickard did a good job mix wise on this album, I definitely think he has leveled up since engineering Horizons. Horizons had some of my favorite mixing so I am confident.

Based on the track list, I feel like there will be at least 3 ballads, which would be awesome. I do hope that they return to their hard/symphonic rock elements, and stop trying to be a metal bad. It's not that they CAN'T be a metal band. Rather, I think they should NOT try to be one. They do it well enough, but it's not what made them successful, nor has that sound been their most popular. I get that bands need to evolve, but Michael's voice is SOOO good, and it is just sad to hear him straining to hit notes he used to without issue. I think to much screaming might be the culprit, but even if I'm wrong, TOO MUCH screaming is not what I want from Red.

This album was supposed to be a Spring release. Never mentioned why it was postponed. Idk, it's not so much the delays more the communication around it that kind of sucks. Especially after 2 mediocre albums, it feels like RED has lost a lot of momentum and needs a jump start

I agree a head's up would've been great lol😂 I definitely didn't wait up for that only to find nothing😂 But anyways, yeah I completely agree! I am cautiously-optimistic for this album I'd say, my only issue is that the vocals sound a bit too much like release the panic which was probably one of my least favorite Red Albums, but who knows, maybe they'll pull off that sound in a super fun and unique way! Just because the band may not have released the single doesn’t necessarily mean he spread misinformation. In a way we were kinda teased a bit. MOST bands will post a teaser with a clip of new music with a date on it. So it isn’t on this guy, it’s kind of on them for not specifying what was happening on June 16. Other than that, I’m excited regardless
