If you didn't noticed ... The rabbit man was actually the little girl's father. On the news broadcast they said that the patient that escaped was named Allistair Radford ( you can see him in the credits as well). When the girl called the mother, she started with, " Mrs. Radford ... " - the same name. One of the reasons why the little girl was always smiling when she was turning towards the man ... she knew that that was her daddy ... and one last thing, when the babysitter started putting the pieces in her head, they showed a glimpse of a family picture, where on it - there was a figure next to the little girl, showing us that they are actually related.
