If that was such a huge issue than Red Bull wouldn't/couldn't host such events. All that needs to happen for the Olympics to start hosting racing planes is demand and recognition. With sports the contests/players/participants know the risk involved and they still contend.

The olympics doesn't seem interested in any sport where a motor does a bunch of work for you. F1 involves a ton of physical exertion (up with the top athletes in the world), but you're not going to see olympic motor racing any time soon.

I got to fly in a plane with the guy from top gear laser tag episode and it was amazing. He does the take off and landing and you do the flying. You get to do loops from 5000ft to 1000ft back to 5000ft, barrel rolls, split S's and he helps you do stalls. It's called "sky thrills" in Southern California and it was the best $700 ive ever spent. It's no ride along.
