kinda crazy that a team that didn't make it to any international events in 2023 came that close to beating a team that won two of those events... and like oxy? an absolute prodigy, being able to go toe-to-toe with derke like that is nuts. We should be in for a very exciting 2024 season with the way some of these "underperforming" teams are looking now.

The only maps c9 won were exacly the same maps fnatic played 2h before againts drx while c9 was watching, chilling a practicing Also the whole team was on vacay befora de tournment , and alfajer didnt play val for 1 month +

C9 even played without one of their best players... wippie. I'd say they're currently the most promising NA team when EG won't continue their VCT 2023 roster (which seems to be most likely because of how they treated their Champions). And yeah... I mean Fnatic started scrimming one week before this event and for THAT fact they look strong again. I think at Champions it was simply too much. From Europe to Brazil and winning LOCKIN there, from Europe to Tokyo with all the prep, playing their until the GF and winning it - then just a few weeks later travelling to NA with all the stuff incl. jetlag etc. and the immense pressure that everyone was looking at them to make it 3 Majors in 2023. Fnatic played not even on 75% at Champions in LA, they did so many things totally different - even on "home maps" like Lotus. Overall FNC still is the best team when they play at 100% in my eyes.

Being from Balkan and watching CS tournaments before I just now looked up valorant one. I am... kinda... I have kinda respect for the crowd. Everyone is calm, friendly, patient. Even if I'm not aggressive by nature, I would for sure be unable to control myself and scream when someone does insane clutch. Idk, just wanted to share, how kinda weirs that is for someone coming from completely different area I guess.
