Traveling around England earlier this year helping shoot some content was awesome so I thought I would make a short montage with just a few bit's and pieces from the trip. We did everything from flying above London in a helicopter, speedboating down the river Thames to visiting Blenheim palace and of course the iconic red double decker buses and old buildings that the uk are so well know for.

This was all filmed with a Lumix Gh4, metabones speedbooster and a couple of Canon Lenses. I edited it all in Adobe Premiere Pro CC.

Hi there Bryn, I found this video last night and saw one of my teachers towards the end of this movie. Extraordinary transitions! I loved it so much that I wished I could produce something like you one day. Just a quick question, do you use any stabilisers for your movies? And what gear do you use to film under water like in the Australia film? Many Thanks :)

I shoot with a 70-200mm and 35mm mostly with a 10-20mm sometimes. The only thing I do in premiere is speed ramping otherwise it's all done while shooting.

@diggyz82 7 жыл бұрын
Cool. I have a hard time decide between 60 or 96fps. I think the 96fps looks a bit jerky when played in a 30fps timeline unless you slow it down.Maybe its just hard to tell when doing quick speed ramps, cause your footage looks sweet

Watched every single one of your videos and just love your editing style. I'm an semi-pro/amateur and would kill (pay) for an ultra brief tutorial. Or maybe you know of something online (tutorial, principle?) I can watch now! I'm assuming you're constantly thinking about motion when in the field, then some after effects, and voila. In any event, please know that your style will be a source of inspiration for my work. Cheers!
@bryn
@bryn 7 жыл бұрын
Thanks so much bro, I might do a tut when I get some time but to be honest I don't have much to say other than whip your camera around a lot and the more movement in your shots the easier to match them in post. The only thing I do to the footage is speed it up and slow it down, the rest is just about matching the shots :). Glad I could inspire!!

Hey Bryn! This is actually my favorite video on youtube. I show it to everyone when they ask me what style of video I like to edit. Still a beginner, but just wondering do you purchase a license for the music or does this fall under free use? I'm always nervous to do a full edit on a video and then have KZbin flag it after I put in a ton of work.
@bryn
@bryn 7 жыл бұрын
Hey Alex, thanks so much!! If you are wanting to monetise the video then yes you would need to purchase a track off Audio network, Music bed or Premium Beat to name a few and then use the licence they give you with the purchase. I however am not interested in making money off these videos, they are just a side project for me so most of the tracks are not licensed and therefore the AD revenue on the video goes to the artists through youtube. Hope that helps a bit?
@alexispaska9610
@alexispaska9610 7 жыл бұрын
MrBrynnorth You're welcome! So that sort of answers the question for me. I've been on Musicbed etc., but i guess I'm asking more about this specific song since it's an extremely popular song not located on those sites. I'm more curious if KZbin's filter catches the song or if you contacted the production company and requested use of it. I know SESAC has the licensing info for "Like Water", but do I really need to get approval through a licensing request with them? Or is there an easier way to choose a popular song and not monetize it? I'm probably overcomplicating it, so I think what I'm asking is, as an example, do I need to contact the production company to use the song "Like Water", or is there an easier way to use it in my video if I don't plan on making money? Thanks man! (And if my question doesn't make sense, don't even worry about it haha)
@bryn
@bryn 7 жыл бұрын
Yes youtube will most likely still flag it but they will then put ads on your video which you cannot monetize but the copyright owner of the track can, have a look here : kzbin.info_policies.

the slick wipe transitions - are you literally just moving the camera from one side and in the next shot carrying on from the same position?
@bryn
@bryn 7 жыл бұрын
Yeah a lot of whipping the camera around but I'm not usually planning the next shot as I'm just shooting on the go, once in post I find shots that work well together.
