After the way Peter was treated during that RRHOF I wouldn't re-join them for anything. He has taken the high road at all costs and for that his fans are respectful of his decision not to reunite. He is a class act and still has that golden voice. No one left in that band can hold a candle to Peter's talents, those petty jealousies are still present even after all these years. It's too bad but the show must go on for everyone. Bravo Peter!

He always diplomatically and politely deflects the eternal question about ever playing with Chicago again, yet he always gets asked it.

That would be the most anticipated rock music reunions ever. I understand why people still ask that question, because they were so great, musically together. But I know it won't happen, so I've given up on that dream.

It's funny after all these yrs, they still ask if he's going to reunite with Chicago. I've given up on that a long time ago. So many yrs have passed, it ain't going to happen. Peter's done his time with the group, now he has his own band and he's the leader, why would he want to go back to Chicago? Chicago needs him more and Chicago always needed him.

And he isn’t as good without them. I don’t own and probably won’t ever own a Peter Cetera record. He sold out ! He continued to put out the same garbage, his whole career, that he did in his last few years with Chicago. He should have been at that hof induction. I don’t wanna hear any excuses. I know the other guys in the band are dicks also. But those of us who loves Chicago, wanted our Peter there. With Danny there that would of been a complete reunion of our beloved band. As complete as life would allow. Maybe we could of had Michelle Kath up there, with Terrys Guitar. I’m sure she could sing a little bit. Most girls could. Not professionally ! Maybe she could of sung Color My World or Hope for Love. Just for us Chicago fans, that still living with the tragedy of 1978. The remaining members pissed me off big time that night. Having their current lineup on stage playing. HELLO JIMMY, ROBERT, WALTER, LEE - those imposters that you let perform WERE NOT who was inducted. Then you had to spit in Danny’s face yet again and again. Bye not allowing him to sit at your table, and making him just sit at his Drummers Throne, stickless, while your drummer hof imposter got to drum on Saturday In The Park. Scumbags !!

I love Peter and he always seems to take the high road when he is asked about reuniting with Chicago, which is more than I can say about the other original members of Chicago when asked the same question. There seems to be so much bad blood between them I doubt if they could even rehearse for a reunion without some kind of big blowout.

Interesting...when he is asked that question, he often adds "never say never". Now I can't see him ever reuniting with Chicago, especially after the HOF fiasco, but it sure would be great to see him sing with them just one more time. Signed selfish Chicago and Peter Cetera fan.

You know he plays bass too and would not be truly playing with Chicago without using the 4-string.

I could see him maybe adding to someone's solo album, or a one-off visit to a solo tour, but I can't see him rejoining Chicago even part time. It's too bad, but I heard Pete mention working again with David Foster. That pretty much says it all. Plus, he's in semi-retirement (his words...)

I don’t necessarily wish that he would play with the band again, but I wish she was in that Chicago HBO movie they did a few years ago I think it was called (now more than ever) .. I know he did come and do an interview with Terry Kath’s daughter in the documentary (The Terry Kath Experience) .. I kind of wish that there could be a tell-all book on the group Chicago. I’m truly interested in the Terry Kath years of the group and how things went down..

The difference is Lou Pardini is still in the band. When Jason left Chicago he left a vacancy that needed filling. But yes Bill's voice with Peter's was something magical.

Well, after they had that falling out over the hall of fame induction in April of 2016, I think the band and Cetera are at an even worse place than they were before. All things considered, it was pretty messed up. But I have to give Peter credit in this interview. Despite that recent setback, he's still polite while talking about it.

@@jchessermusic Yeah the rock and roll hall of fame fiasco definitely made their relationship worse. But Danny showed up and he was fired. It took a lot of courage for him to be there that night, when your band mates betrayed you like that. But we all know there is definitely a hostile work environment that exists in that band, no wonder Peter didn't want to be there that night. I don't blame him. I just want Peter to be happy since he's brought a lot of happiness into our lives.
