If the roaches had wings and were flying, they were palmetto bugs or American cockroaches and they are everywhere. You can’t get rid of them unfortunately but they do have a serious issue for sure in the apartment. We have them here at my house too! I live around woods and I hate them so so so so soooo much!! Ugh!

Bro this exact situation happened for me and my sister when we moved into our college apartment. We had to get our parents involved because the place had roaches everywhere and was filthy. Luckily my mom goes full Black Karen mode and got us a new and non-roach-infested apartment. Hope you don’t have anymore troubles like that because it’s really frustrating
