Another piece that reminds me of a master blade Smith creating a tiled Damascus billet so the pattern becomes exposed and isn't just at the end of the billet. Stunningly Beautiful. The rich colour of the wood Brought out by the finish is sheer poetry 👏 👏 👏

I know I keep on repeating myself, but the sheer amount of work just in the cutting, gluing and sanding of pieces is just astounding, then it's on to the turning ... it's a veritable feast for the eyes, brain and soul ... I wouldn't be surprised if one day you create a piece with one million parts 👍

Once again, an absolutely wonderful piece of work! I wonder how long it took you from first idea to developing the concept of how to proceed, then cutting, glueing and cutting again until finally putting it on the lathe. I assume it was longer than the actual turning, wasn!t it? Btw. this time I absolute love the colour tint the finish produced. Wish I could afford a work of yours..... Anyway it's always great joy watching you creating all these lovely pieces. Thank you !💚

I'm just starting my journey in turning and managed to pick up a cheap Minimax T124 copy lathe ... it has roughly the same capacity as the Laguna, but oh how I'd like to get one of those, specifically the Laguna Revo 1836 ... but well outside my price range ... maybe one day 👍

From your changing of shirts, it seems to have taken ou at least six days to make. I don't know if I'd have the patience to make this. This is why your work is epic. I can't wait for my woodworking classes to resume so I can try woodturning! You make it seem so relaxing... 😌

@@mayukowoodturning7644 Not surprising that you do many projects at once. The glue takes time to dry, so you prep another project in the meantime. It's just logical. Do you use the white glue that dries in, like, an hour on small pieces? I know it takes like 12 hours on a big piece, like for furniture, it's what I learnt in my class. But for your vases, do you let them dry for an hour, or twelve? From the looks of it, I'd say twelve...
@mayukowoodturning7644
@mayukowoodturning7644 Жыл бұрын
@@milo_7294 if gluing one to another it only takes an hour is also enough but for turning it takes 12 hours for the glue to really dry completely

@@andres78171 Why would my mind be a computer? I'm taking woodworking classes, and learning about those things. And after my regular woodworking classes are done I wanna study woodturning, so when I ask Mayuko questions, it's to better understand what I see so that someday I may do something similar.
