_ DeeDogg actually it has nothing to do with the console limitations, the euphoria level in mp3, GTA IV, and rdr are really high but well balanced. in GTA 5 Rockstar turned down the level of euphoria for some reason, and the death animations are the biggest questions to be answered because they don't feel realistic at all . shooting someone in the foot won't kill them in 6 seconds

They use the Euphoria engine. From what I've heard, it's actually really difficult to include such accurate ragdoll physics in games simply because of the copious amount of math calculations to run the ragdolls in real time. They used the same engine for gta v, it's understandable that they had to tone it down a bit based of how big that game is.

in all seriousness, RDR had the best/most realistic blood, wounds, ragdoll, reactions, and other combat effects in Rockstar history. GTA 5 is a great ass game, but also a game where you can shoot a police officer in the hand, and he covers his stomach on the ground and dies in seconds. I really hope Rockstar keeps the same effects in RDR 2, or otherwise improves them.

I hope RDR 2 will have similar physics to this. I'm just worried that majority of the physics will be animation based, like in gta v. Then again, it's difficult to provide the same reaction in online mode, where the timing has to be the same to every player. Im sure Rockstar will think of something.

Nilos Gta V wasn't animation based almost at all, the physics were just dialed down to the point of every death almost looking the same. Unless you are talking about the bleeding out animation, because that is painfully obvious. And if they could do online with these physics on RDR and GTA lV, I'm sure they could do it again
