@@lukario223 it's not only hardware that gets better over time. Software also gets more optimized over time. I don't doubt that GPU's in the future will also have a dedicated AI chip for rendering. Similar to what Nvidia has done with DLSS and DLSS3 FG in 40 series

​@@DonJuanitito What I mean is, you can use the AI to generate the filter, save it as a reference of the scene and tweak it in the shader and texturing to better match the AI guess. Videogames suffer from an over detalization, over saturation and too many details to be able to sell a realistic scene. When you look to AI footage, taht is in fact, lower in resolution, the biggest "oh this is closer to real life" is the color managment, light interaction and even other sutle camera artifacts taht may come up in AI generated footage. I recently saw a Project Zomboid AI Filter and the AI made some wild compositions that should be an inspiration starting point for anyone that might try creating a shader for this game

Still way too early to implement this kind of graphical enhancement, you're going to need a dedicated machine to run the AI model to generate the images, and you're going to need at least 3 Blackwell GPU to be able to run it smoothly in real time. And it doesn't even look that good there's still some major inconsistency, take it we're going to need at least 20 years for this technology to be widely implemented.

Eh, Unreal 5.5 is almost at this point. Edit: Don't get me wrong, though, it is really impressive for texture and lighting. I think, if this was in-game, and not over a video, and it had actual data from the 3D models, it would work great. All it needs is proper funding and a studio of people working on implementing it.
