For me, the high honor heartbeat feels like adrenaline and survival. He doesn’t want to kill anyone but knows it is life or death, he or them. The lack of a heartbeat in low honor is sadistic. He is heartless, and careless about human life. He’s used to massacre and even enjoys and reminisces on it (background echoes) perhaps it is so routine that he is even bored by it now.

Two factors to consider here. 1: Calmer people (more positive) tend to be calmer. High honor in this case. People with more fear/anger, etc. They end up like low honor Arthur. Which also leads to faster pulse due to higher stress. So the heartbeat kind of contradicts itself either way. Arguments can be made for both cases. This is why I think it would have been better to add the heartbeat when Arthur gets sick, which would indicate his decline in health.

Another subtle difference with the kill cam that you missed out is where with good honour an that can even mean half way up, the kill cam can displays Arthur shooting in a like heroic man pose of standing his ground type of feeling but with bad honour, it just shows mostly the carnage of the death that you caused. I may have found another foreshadowing detail with the suit vests while playing rdr2 today. Before the Saint Denis bank heist, the gang wears suits with vests. But If you look carefully, you'll see that Hosea's, John's and Lenny's vests are blue, while Dutch's and Micah's are red! Is this some foreshadowing to show which characters are good and bad?

I think what's most scary about low honor Arthur is just how smooth and efortless those lines come out. There's no thought or effort behind it, purely instinct. Whereas some high honor lines feel like theres more of a weight behind them. Like how you have to 'force' yourself to respond in conversations if you just aint feeling it. High honor - he's trying to be decent. Low honor - he has given into intrusive thoughts.

The sound design for the dead eye is very interesting to me. It speaks to me on a different level, like high honor, Arthur is mostly at peace, he knows what he may have to do even when he doesnt want to or need to. But he understands this and is in touch with himself. Now low honor deadeye is a drastic change, it brings a much darker tone with not too much changed, the heartbeat is gone and it sounds much more sinister, like Arthur isnt at peace and the souls of all those he has killed floods his brain and clouds his thinking and concentration, it would have been a cool detail if the deadeye mechanic itself was effected by honor. The screams and cries of agony and pain all by those he felled in his time stay with him until he chooses to clear his thoughts by doing good deeds.

I've always said it, Rockstar knows how to make a great game, I was going through the hardest time of my life when Red dead redemption came out. I was about 17, parents were getting a divorce, I had no friends..badly depressed..was pretty much on the brink of hopping off a bridge. it was such a critical time in my life and the one thing that kept me going was the enthralling story of John Marston. First video game I ever truly beat with 100% all of the outfits, all of the guns and achievements on the ps3. Really Kept me going man. So i've got an investment in RDR2, even though things are better now, the story is just as good and the fine details they put are worth it.👍

My first playthrough I went pretty low honor (not min, by any means) and towards the end I definitely went on a redemption arc and got my honor to max and the story just really ended up hitting me hard. Love the attention to detail R* put into everything for this game...

I like how you went deep with this, spending much time working on this. You did the excellent work. But problem is the views for doing the hard job. It should be high, if YT algorithm isn't screwed. My suggestion is if you're aiming for part 2 you should do on storyline scenes with honor difference dialogues.
