The voice is so similar, in fact, that I've been wondering if the narrator for these videos and that Fallout 3 voice actor are the same person. Once again, amazing video, guys. I live for this BETA stuff. I wish I could recall most of the differences when I played the BETA yeeeears ago. One thing I can say for sure is I recorded some extra dialogue for RDR that never made it into the final as far as I know. Lots of extra dialogue for the mission "On Shaky's Ground" as well as some horse race countdown + trash talk I don't think was ever used, but is accessible via game hack. Neat stuff to look back on for sure.

Damn, you guys set up the PERFECT intro for Angel Studios to lead into the fact that their Angel Game Engine was not only used for Midtown Madness, Smugglers Run, and Midnight Club -- but that very same engine is actually the grandfather to what we know today as the Rockstar Advanced Game Engine (I like to think it stands for Rockstar/Angel Game Engine). Nobody ever mentions it! And now I'm sad it's not in this amazing video :(

The two strangers missions made it into Red Dead Redemption 2 or at least inspired two stranger missions. “Brothers and Sisters, One and All” where you return a stolen Crucifix to Sister Calderon(later Mother Superior) and “The Smell of the Grease Paint” where you meet a traveling circus with a giant who’s best friend is a dwarf magician that escaped.

You forgot to mention about hip-fire being in the gameplay trailers and not in the final version. For example at 18:53, look how John has his gun at his waist but the reticle is still on screen. Whereas in the final version the reticle only appears when you are aiming down the site, which is the only point at which you can shoot your gun. Going by the RDR2 trailers though, they seem to be properly including hip-fire this time around. We shall see though!!

Yeah but you still can only aim when looking down the sights. It only (automatically) shoots from the waist once you've picked your shots. As opposed to the gameplay trailers which showed Marston aiming from the hip even outside of dead-eye.

The one stranger mission about the dwarf is similar to one that was put in RDR 2. In RDR 2 the dwarf is a magician and the giant has Pinhead Syndrome. You can find the Stranger mission in Van Horn in the saloon.
