Regarding John's daughter, she was born and died sometime during the 4 year gap between both games (RDR 2's epilogue is set in 1907 - RDR 1 is set in 1911). Not much is known about her, but the popular fan-theory is that she died very young due to some illness. I played Red redemption 1 on ps3, when it came out. Such a memorable moments and experiences within this game, despite the ps3 version being the worst it was my game of that generation. Glad you had fun playing it.

They already remastered this for the Xbox One a few years back. I would definitely want Rockstar to create a remake of this game, it would be amazing to see RDR1 with RDR2 visuals.

The RDR1 map ends at the Upper Montana River. In RDR2 we find out that the river begins in the Big Valley region to the west of Strawberry, in the area of the Owanjila Dam, before flowing southwards, past the Tall Trees region. The river then bends to the east and forms the border between Great Plains and Big Valley, further along Hawks Eye Creek empties into the river from the north, to the south of Riggs Station, the river travels a further short distance before emptying into Flat Iron Lake slightly north of Blackwater. So pretty much everyone on the other side of the river is where RDR2 takes place while everyone on our side is where RDR1 is set. RDR1 has two American states those being New Austin and West Elizabeth, only the regions of Tall Trees and Great Plains where Blackwater is located. Big Valley is another region but that was introduced in RDR2 on the other side of the Montana River. But you may notice a whole new area located across the San Luis River. This area I'll not spoil but it's only featured in RDR1 so this will be all new to you.

Ya its a little strange to me because this game was HUGELY popular when it released and single handedly revived the western genre in gaming. I get that by the numbers more copies of RDR2 sold but it doesnt make sense that every single streamer ive seen play RDR2 never played 1 and didnt know anything about the franchise. Red Dead Revolver I understand, but RDR1?? It doesnt make sense.

​@@sergeantbigmacyou've gotta understand that as much as a huge hit that RDR1 was, gaming was still kind of niche in 2010. Most gamers were teenage dudes and kids. Gaming became a really mainstream medium just the past few years, so most folk obviously would have played GTA V, RDR2 or GOW4 but never played SA, RD1 or GOW2. And that's totally fine.

@@dukiroki6891Well said, I stopped gaming in 2006 with OG Xbox and only started again during Pandemic with PS5, played RDR2 first and had no idea about RDR1s story or who John Marston was before that so yeah, in a world of billions, people can miss not playing games that sold millions not to mention not see well known films and tv shows too 👍🏽.
