My opponent chose to go second and it made me think the he would be using Mikanko or Numeron(both use a lot of removal cards) and because most opponent don't know about Soul Resonator's GY effect they would activate a Droplet or another removal card like Lightning Storm and have Soul Resonator's effect as a last option.That's my reasoning

Why can’t I like you activate Etude of the branded at the beginning of my opponents turn and have to wait until he activates an effect???

You have to have the Chain ON also remember to always activate Etude's effect as a first chain because if it's not first Calamity's effect will miss timing(for example if your opponent activates a quick spell don't activate Etude wait for the chain to end and immediately when you have the chance activate Etude's effect)

@@TheSolarium18 don't call your self dumb , there are a lot of players that didn't knew about this feature myself included(I learned this from @Dkayed also I noticed I did a typo what I meant to say is Toggle Option not Chain Option sorry my mistake) In order to have quick effects work as intended you have to click your Submenu,click Game Settings,go to Duel and there you will find the Activation Confirmation option change it from Auto to Switch. With that every time you duel you will have a Toggle Option to change your Activation Confirmation (there are 3 options Auto ,ON and OFF *IF you have a hand trap or Nibiru having it on OFF it's a good way to bait your opponent thinking that you don't have a handtrap),also that's irrelevant with the Activation Option I suggest you to have the Activation Order Settings on the ON option. Etude of branded somehow can be activated at opponent end turn. Why was that?

Etude of the Branded effect: During either player's turn, you can: Immediately after this effect resolves, Synchro Summon 1 Synchro Monster, using monsters you control as material, including a Dragon monster.

In TCG a version without the Bystial package is better ?

I haven't tested it without Bystials in the TCG. I think there is a better way to summon Calamity even easier using Centur-Ion

yes, the newly released centurion engine is really consistent in making calamity lock, it is also way easier and simplier than bystial
