wow man. i really like that fire red. i used to do lots and lots and lots of tie dye, but kind of basic stuff. you have aroused my interest back into it. i would have to order again from dharma trading, but i kind of feel like doing it again. i like those needle tipped squirt bottles. i always used the plastic cone tops. i can see where you can have more precise control, especially the 2nd side of the tee where you randomly squirt black on it. just subscribed to you too. i will keep watching. thanks!

What is the soda ash at the beginning and bleach at the ending for? Are they necessary or can I just use regular water?

The soda ash is what raises the ph your goal is to be around 10.5 ph this allows the dye to permanently bond to the natural fiber in the shirt. As far as the color safe bleach at the end is only used to help remove the loose dye that didn't bond to the fiber.
