R2-D2 is able to fly the starfighter on his own. As seen in ESB in Hoth. But would Luke have abandoned his watch over Grogu so carelessly? He promised to protect the child with his life.

@@xuttuh5260 yes but he also gave Grogu a choice in the last episode take yodas lightsaber and continue on the path to become a Jedi which then Luke would protect him whilst simultaneously training Grogu or let him return to Djin and not become a Jedi, seems Grogu chose the later hence no Luke.

@@DatTran1 Fair enough, but it would have been 100% safer(and more respectful) for Grogu if Luke had escorted him, like he promised. It's a sign of respect and honor. Luke sending Grogu away with a droid will not be taken well by Mando. Luke is slowly transforming into Jake Skywalker the Island dweller.

Yeah, i think he should have returned Grogu to Mando by himself. But think about it the new republic is a legit powerful government right now and X-Wing is a powerful starfighter so who in the right mind would want to attack an X-Wing even Mando and many bounty hunters in the Mandalorian show got scared when they saw an X-Wing plus messing with the new republic and you'd have a high chance to be arrested.

I kinda hoped that Han and Chewbacca were gonna show up to give Luke a ride to Mos Espa, and that the former was gonna give Grogu shit for “stealing” his brother-in-law’s ship. 😂🤣 Anyways, I bet Grogu’s going to resume his training in the future but with Ezra Bridger as his teacher, since he’s spent more time with Mandalorians than Luke and can take both Jedi & Mandalorian ideals into consideration.

Very disappointed that grougu takes the gift don't get me wrong he and the mandalorian had a great relationship but I felt like he was better off being trained as a Jedi the original owner of the dark saber was both Jedi and mandalorian obviously you can be both
