Heroes like Batman always say they won’t be able to stop killing if they start, while Superman (in this universe at least,) believes all criminals should die. Red Hood sees who should and who shouldn’t. He knows the line. And it’s a damn good one.

They aren't just self righteous but they use that as an excuse to hurt and kill people, including innocents. Say what you will about Batman's No Kill Rule, but what happened with Superman completely justifies both that and the Kryptonite Contingency plan that everyone got so mad about years back. All Injustice did was prove Batman right: It doesn't matter how pure or righteous you are, you aren't immune to corruption and Batman himself knows this could happen to him as well. Makes me wonder why so many people took Superman's side and tried to make Batman the bad guy here.

It always annoys me when people say, "Red Hood has no limits." He has limits, he's just not a p**** that can't pull the trigger, or someone who doesn't pull the trigger because they wouldn't be able to stop like Bats. One of those limits is hurting children. The Regime went too far. Red Hood will kack criminals that are too far gone, not everyone if he can avoid it, and Supes killed Billy, who was still a child even if he was in an adult body at the time. Both of which are against Jason's rules. Even in a pretty crappy time for his character, he took Scarlet under his wing until she was able to leave Gothem and that life behind. Depending on the canon status of his arcade ending, he did the same in this continuity since it shows him taking out Professor Pyg.
