Lyrics Coming on to the light of day, we got Many moons that are deep at play, so I Keep an eye on the shadow smile To see what it has to say You and I both know Everything must go away Ah, what do you say? Spinning knot that is on my heart is like a Bit of light and a touch of dark, you got Sneak attack from the zodiac But I see your fire spark Keep the breeze and go Blow by blow and go away Oh, what do you say Yeah You don't know my mind You don't know my kind Dark necessities are part of my design, and Tell the world that I'm Falling from the sky Dark necessities are part of my design Stumble down to the parking lot, you got No time for the afterthought, they're like Ice cream for an astronaut Well that's me looking for we Turn the corner and Find the world at your command Playing the hand Yeah You don't know my mind You don't know my kind Dark necessities are part of my design Tell the world that I'm Falling from the sky Dark necessities are part of my design Do you want this love of mine? Darkness helps us all to shine Do you want it, do you want it now? Do you want it all the time? But darkness helps us all to shine Do you want it, do you want it now? Pick you up like a paperback with the Track record of a maniac, so I Move it in and we unpack It's the same as yesterday Any way we roll Everything must go away Oh, what do you say? Yeah You don't know my mind You don't know my kind Dark necessities are part of my design Tell the world that I'm Falling from the sky and Dark necessities are part of my design

I have been lucky enough to have seen them three times. The first was at Lollapalooza 92' when Blood Sugar Sex Magic came out. That performance at Palooza blew my mind. After all these years they have not lost a bit of energy and passion for the music they create.

My only memories of my grandmother for 30+ years involved her talking shit about my parents, whichever one she happened to be angry at at the time. It's got real depth, a lot going on instrumentally and vocally, in the subtle arrangements... I get more from the bridge each time through, and yea the way they wrap it up and bring it home... saying this is oh so good is inadequate, it's masterful and they make it seem almost easy.

I love Josh. I can't imagine something more difficult than be the one after John. And please guys, tell me one guitarist who can imitate the way John played. Josh is doing his best, his own, and he does it with love. That's what count.

Joe Blow Hillel Slovak was the original, yes. But he died early in RHCP's career. John was the best to fill the position. Josh was the best to fill John's position. I think we can all agree. If Hillel was still alive and with the red hot chili peppers today, the band would still be amazing, but it wouldn't be the same. I'm not saying it would be better or worse. I'm just saying that it would be different.

Lyrics: Coming out to the light of day We got many moons that are deep at play So I keep an eye on the shadow's smile To see what it has to say You and I both know Everything must go away Ah, what do you say? Spinning knot that is on my heart It's like a bit of light and a touch of dark You got sneak attacked from the zodiac But I see your fire spark Eat the breeze and go Blow by blow and go away Oh, what do you say? Yeah, you don't know my mind You don't know my kind Dark necessities are part of my design and Tell the world that I'm falling from the sky Dark necessities are part of my design Stumble down to the parking lot You got no time for the afterthought They're like ice cream for an astronaut Well that's me looking for weed Turn the corner and Find the world at your command Playing the hand Yeah, you don't know my mind You don't know my kind Dark necessities are part of my design Tell the world that I'm falling from the sky Dark necessities are part of my design Do you want this love of mine? The darkness helps all to shine Do you want it, do you want it now? Do you want it all the time? The darkness helps us all to shine Do you want it, do you want it now? Pick you up like a paperback With the track record of a maniac So I move it in and we unpack It's the same as yesterday Any way we roll Everything must go away Ah, what do you say? They wouldn't have ever or still exist if not for Anthony and Flea. I love them all and often find my mind drifting trying to decide which Pepper I love most. I usually go back and forth between Anthony and John but nobody makes me smile like Flea, what a multi-talented genius. Hillel was great ,Dave is great but I don't think he's found the right home since Jane's. No one fit w/ RHCP like John. So glad we didn't loose him❤️✌️🎶🌶️

This video is amazing. It's not a romanticism, either. Somebody built dirt bike jumps in a wooded area equip with a real half pipe. I remember biking with the older boys and getting into it and out of the half pipe once without falling down. Must've been 6 or 7, maybe 8. Dark winter. Spring that brought intermittent normal days and laughter. Summer that brought resignation to a deep burn. Riding with the older kids made me comfortable with adrenaline, and I got to see it bring joy in others. Invigorating. These guys combined so many intelligences in this song and video.

@MrBrucelee117 As someone who's been alive to see all of their albums, this is a very good song. And are you really comparing record sales now to record sales in the 90s? That's a change in the music industry itself with all the different options they have to get music now, not indicative of quality. It may not be their best work but it was still a solid album.
