you know what they should seriously do? After they tour the Getaway for a while, they should do a mini-tour where they play all their early albums, up til Mother's Milk, so it would be like, 10 shows of the first album, then 10 shows across the country / world for Freaky Styley, and so forth.. if they did 10 shows they'd get better every night, and by the end they'd be completely reacquainted with the material (and it would be sick) and it would inject some of that original funk back into their sound. Also, they do have part of their fanbase that absolutely LOVES hearing their old stuff, but we never get to hear it and it seems like they never want to play it. I guess I feel really I'm appealing to Josh here, cause I think they'd all be down if he was willing to learn like 50 "new" songs, and I guess they'd all have to relearn everything too. But I'm sure they could do it, they're the Red Hot Chili Peppers! I think it would be totally awesome, but would they ever do it? Oh, and they should throw in One Hot Minute too.. anyone think this is a good idea, or am I just fucked?

cursedswordsman Not necessarily, you'd just have to work up a set.. tour it.. and repeat.. not all at once, but over say 1 or 2 years.. just do mini tours.. they are great musicians, and they wrote all the songs.. I think they could pull it off, but they have this "must promote new album mentality" mixed with "people want the hits" mentality.. fuck that shit, they need to listen to me right now. I'm over here, guys, hangin' on the KZbin!
