What a way to end the album. The first night I truly delved into their music was another late night like this one. Just clicking on whatever music video KZbin decided to throw at me and that night, they became my fav band of all time. Fast-forward many many years later to another late night (some things never change lol) I was able to see my fav band do it once again. Been listening to this album with my Childhood friend, Shash. He parted ways years back, his family had to shift outside India. But somewhere deep down I knew, we would just connect someday. Today, just very randomly, I messaged him about the new album release of RHCP. For the past 2 hours, we have been listening exactly to the same songs of the new album. Writing long messages, thinking about our childhood times, planning for a road trip and getting stuck here at Tangelo. A sweepingly emotional moment for us. He writes about his Grandfather who is in the ICU apparently " Connoisseur of percipience, Harbinger of bliss, you are the legend of this town, this family tree's very own crown" . Wonderfully put. I also think of this song as a sort of theme for my daughter, too. She was born not long after UL was released, and I had this track playing in my car a lot as I was driving to and from the hospital.
