Such a great song. You can see how the energy and intesity is getting more and more with every Show they play

I see that as well, they're getting their red hot back, especially John, he seems more and more into it with each show.

I was at the gig right before this in Dublin and there were lots of people with signs saying "wet sand" but they never played it, wonder if they were inspired by the signs!
@flflflflflfl2 жыл бұрын
don't think so, they've played it before on this tour on several occasions
@isabellasiemann47232 жыл бұрын
I actually did make them a huge Wet Sand sign and i was in the front :) pretty sure they read it cause i helped make the one other sign at the show with someone else and they played his request too (John covered a song alone). Sooo they do read signs! I'm the person screaming really loudly right as the song starts :')

It seems to me that the sound quality on this one is just perfect! I'd die for this one! One of my favorite solos and song, ever!! Awesome upload!

Hoping everyday that they’ll play Wet Sand in Vegas! And maybe we’ll even get extra lucky and hear John’s scream lol one of the best parts of the song for sure!
@isabellasiemann47232 жыл бұрын
Lol that person screaming when the first riff hits and holds it for a while... that's me 😂 Sorry guys!! Pretty sure they played this song because I made them a massive wet sand poster and they could definitely see it. I only say that because I helped someone else make a poster asking John to "cover one of his favorite songs" -- and John DID. And we were the only ones with posters in the whole front section! This is my favorite song and favorite band of all time and seeing this song performed live was absolutely insane. The first time I remember loving it, i remembered it as "track 13", playing in the CD player of our car as my mom dropped me off at soccer practice. I was 8. The valences of meaning that the song has held for me as I've grown up (now 24) is second to none. The slow build is everything

Frusciante is in the best moment of his career as a guitarist, both technically and expressively.
@masterobio6162 жыл бұрын
Thechnically I agree but I think his solos were more expressive in SA days

@ferheviatorres I’ve never loved a guitarist’s work as much as I love his. And he astonishes us more and more with the development of his skills and creativity as time goes on, does he not? Not only that, but his singing is more confident on this tour, stronger and mellower ♥️

Sorry but 2003~2006 is his best.

@@ggg313 I was able to see them in Madrid in February 2003 and it was the best concert of my life. I fondly remember "Soul to squeeze" and I got goosebumps with "Venice Queen". Maybe I just want to point out that I see John very happy and very comfortable now, and that's incredible for someone who is as sensitive as he is, so allergic to fame.

It seems that John was going to scream, but he found AK had already started, so John just let him…( yes I’m still totally waiting for that scream to chow up fully by John only….last time AK also screamed with him and therefore can’t hear John clearly at all😫 )
@ms.aesthetic34872 жыл бұрын
I’ve been waiting for John’s scream as well. I wonder if they just aren’t communicating about it beforehand. I wish AK would let John scream, it’s so much better. It was still a good solo but just not the same without John’s “yeaaahhhh”
