This is where the Worx hydroshot comes in handy as I too live in an apartment. I use it to clean the tires/wheels and also to do a 2BM wash. This has me using 3 five gallon buckets. When doing a rinseless wash the Worx hydroshot is used for tires and wheels only, with the aid of a 2 gallon bucket to dunk my various brushes in for tire and wheel cleaning. Take care and love the videos, nothing wrong with your voice either!

Great video. Wicked car. I've washed my own car in that fashion when I can't be bothered getting the hose out. Its okay for a quick fix and looks decent from back aways, but on closer inspection is some way off from a soak, wash and dry the old fashioned way.

I wash my car without spilling a single drop of water all of the time. I use a duster to remove all dust and debris from the paint surface, followed by Griot's Garage's Speed Shine. It's a spray on wax that works amazingly well for me. It keeps my paint looking like new, without any swirl marks or visible scratches.

Great honest review, all said and done the car turned out very presentable,RWW definately has its place, in South Australia where I live we had water restrictions for a couple of years because of drought and it was the only legal way to wash your car at home. For people living in apartments ect, also a lot of mobile detailers here use it almost exclusively,they carry a water tank in their van or trailer, and can do for example an office workers car whilst its parked in a carpark ect . They have the method down to a fine art where it is quick ,cost effective and generally the average person is pleased with the results on their car. Cheers

I love watching your videos first and foremost! Argueably the best detailing video channel I've come across on KZbin so keep them up! As for the product. Results look great on camera for what you had to work with,although I agree they're not for me and I personally couldn't do a car in this way because I wouldn't be satisfied myself with the results 100%. All the best!

I switched to rinseless washing with ONR a few months ago after getting a little bit fed up of all the time and effort it took in setting up all the equipment and washing the car with 2 bucket method. Really liking ONR , I use the Garry Dean multi towel method and haven't noticed any more swirls or marring using this method. Also think car actually looking cleaner doing it this way. Another great video.

Agreed. I do exactly the same. Multi-towel (Garry Dean Method - as cringy as that sounds) and my paint-work is fine. I am getting a much better clean than when i used to take my car to pressure washer at the local garage.

What about a Worx Hydroshot cordless pressure washer for when you have no running water? All you need is a bucket of water I believe? Useful for the wheels at least. Another great video btw. I've watched tons of them about ONR Rinse and Shine but yours is the first about the wax version. I love the way you genuinely put a lot of thought into the process you are using (as alluded to in your narration) rather than just blindly going through some 'done to death' step by step system. Still loving the 'singy-songy' version of Scouse too! 😁

I personally don't really like wool mitts because I did use them a bit back and yes they do hold a lot of suds but I just started seeing swirls on the vehicles I did that didn't seem to be there before the wash. I did a Hummer H2 and boy the thing got covered but swirls (by me). Btw I bought the Chemical guys bearclaw wash mitts. After that incident I went ahead and bought chienell mitts and I more than happy I did.

Summed up my feelings of rinseless washing perfectly. I wish they were a genuine alternative, as access to running water isn't always available to me. Like you though, I could never enjoy it as much as a pressure wash, snow foam and thorough clean! As for the car, that has to be one of the worst cases of orange peel I have seen! The standard of the paint jobs on modern cars is really slipping...

I'm not suggesting this applies to this product, but it's application properties are similar to using crap/cheap shampoos where they don't sud up and just look like greasy water. I'm wondering if you can just towel off from a cheap shampoo for the same result. The lacquer on my new car is so damn soft, even expensive lambswool mitts and microfiber towels leave very fine scratches (and yes, I do clay bar, contact-less pre-rinsing and am aware of decontaminating paintwork) so I'm not quite so fussy about the scratch prevention.

Another great video +guru Personally don't and will probably never use a product like this as I just don't think they are sufficient for the job and in the wrong hands will destroy paint work. If it's hot and sunny I'll wait till the evening till when my drive has shade to wash my ep3 and as its night hawk black it gets very hot very quickly in the sun and will leave hard water stains when washed in the hot sun. Worst comes to worse I'll go a local jet wash if I'm out or knowing I won't be at home armed with a bucket with all my cleaning gear and soap etc so I just use the jet wash and not the dirty brushes that are full of other people's grit. How do rate autobrites detailing range? I've just used some and found it very good. Looking forward to the next vid👍

I personally prefer the multiple soaked microfibre cloths because there is zero chance of introducing grit into the fresh wash bucket...or dragging grit trapped in the mit across the panel - I know there are various schools of thought, but to me, a fresh soft towel for every panel, along with very light pressure means minimal chance of scratching. If the paintwork is THAT precious, then you really shouldn't be doing a rinsless wash to begin with. Do the usual foam soaking, rinsing, foam again...etc. Most of what I'd be doing are daily drivers, so swirls are already present and I'm introducing nothing much extra...certainly nothing noticeable

I can't imagine using this type of product in my motor, just looks too invasive in the paint. Looks like you did a great job with what you had to work with. I'm surprised that when using the 'two bucket' method, you don't wring -out your wash mit in the floor? I wii old have thought that this would have given you a better chance of getting rid of any swirl-causing contaminants prior to re-loading with cleaning solution. I'm not sure if you have upgraded your video camera. The shots look fantastic quality. To that end, I noticed on th the after shots, that there was an amazing amount of orange peel on the paint. Had it been in a body shop recently? The Honda looked super-agressive compared to the standard version. Keep up the good work.
@CarCleaningGuru
@CarCleaningGuru 8 жыл бұрын
It's actually not as invasive as it might look, in certain respects it's more gentle on the paint than standards suds. The reason I wrung out in the bucket was with the theme being limited access to water, I didn't want to run low before I finished. It's a goos tip though!

This car cleaning guru doesn't advise you to do the waterless carwash. He's just demonstrating it and adds a collection of his videos. This is a tutorial cmon! He does the fantastic job. Just keep appreciating. Filthy job that turns out right. Keep cleaning!
