Red Komodo 6K Test Footage - Living Room Hangs with Mira (Download)

Some test shots of the Red Komodo. The skin tones are freaking awesome on this camera! More to come soon, I just need to find some batteries so I can shoot further than three feet away from the wall.

@@SethDunlap I just downloaded your footage and took it for a spin in Red Cine X. WOW! At first I thought maybe it was a little soft, then I realized that its 5k and also has pro-mist. It's a good look! I was thinking this is probably what a decent scan from 35mm would be like. Grain pattern is really organic and distributed thru the image evenly, not just hiding in the shadows. Which gives a nice texture. Skin tones feel lively too. Color fidelity is really good, and the dynamic range feels really good also. I'd say this camera has Hollywood level DR. It's not leading the pack, but it's not thin either. A decent trade off for size, global shutter, and price. I don't think anyone would be disappointed, unless you're one of those people who have no idea how to use lighting equipment to control contrast ratios. I've never use Red Cine-X before, but compared to my Varicam 4k,the 5K files push and pull about the same on my Asus gaming laptop. Major win for me. Can't wait to receive my storm Trooper. This is a proper camera man! Super excited to shoot some killer stuff with it. Thanks for the share.
