Red Komodo + Modded Helios 44-2

Very quick test with the Red Komodo + Speedbooster + Helios 44-4 58mm f/2(modified with oval bokeh insert & ef mount).
The extra width from the Komodo's sensor size coupled with the speed booster, helios, & bokeh insert makes for a pretty convincing anamorphic setup.

have you tried to use wide angle adapter on it? I got modded helios as well and I look for wide angle adapter to give it more character

I actually have tried it! It definitely adds a lot of chromatic aberration and distortion on the edges. Pretty interesting look. If I get a chance I’ll upload some test footage with that setup.

looks amazing! The helios I got is way too "creamy" and flares a lot unfortunately. I'll try with the speedbooster to see if that helps.

if you are using the helios on a super 35 then definitely will have different results with a .7(x) adapter to use the full image circle/
