Red Laser Distance Measurer | DeWalt DW03050

I got a new toy! This time it's the DeWalt DE03050 laser distance measurer, and it's great! I'll walk you through the unboxing, comparing it a bit to my Bosch PLR 50 C. It's your standard red laser measuring tool, but it's built with that nice DeWalt quality that I enjoy a bit too much!
So if you're looking for a 50m (165ft) laser measure that can easily switch between ft and meter, look no further (depending on your needs ofc). This is the best one I tried so far at least. And I especially enjoy the build quality.
You should probably check out a few more reviews before deciding, but hopefully, my review helps you a bit in your decision at least! :)

Can I shot a point to point and get a measurement. For example, if I want to measure a roof peak of a home from the ground.

How does the accuracy measure up to the Bosch one? And at this point, I'm not surprised you got yet another dewalt toy. Guess you will go to any lengths to get all of them. Soon, your time of using any other brand will be a distant past.

Haha, well, some of my newer tools aren't DeWalt! Probably because they don't really compete in the same market, like my snowblower from Husqvarna. But yeah, I found a brand I like and now I'm hooked ;) Regarding the accuracy they're pretty similar. Bosch PLR 50 C has an accuracy of +/- 2mm and the DeWalt DW03050 is slightly better with +/- 1.5mm, but again, pretty similar. If you want more accuracy than that, you need to go for the super expensive models! The stuff I'm building is usually wonky either way, so it doesn't really matter for me!

Did you manage to work with the app? Create floor plan in app and add measurements?

No I haven't used the app since I made the video. Personally it's a feature I don't have a need for, I'm just using this for simple measurements of lengths and areas 🙂
