Red Marley 2010 Hill Climb

This hill is 440 yards (That's a 1/4 mile race to the top, It's a lot steeper than it looks in the video) and it's all most 1:1.5 near the top where there is a challenging jump
"The Pimple".

I've had a lot of comments saying that it don't look that steep! Well It don't look that steep on my video but if you go there you will soon appreciate how steep it really is.

I only heard about this event through the article in this months VMX magazine..........this video is just absolutely awe inspiring....I have watched it dozens of times......it is a case of overcoming your inate fear and just leave it wide open and hope you reach the finish line upright. !!!

That was neat seeing the guy's on the Hagons' out there too, Plus the old two valve Jawa gave it good shot. Guy on the Maico looked good, Same for the couple of CZ's, And of corse all the Rickman/BSA's, Most of all.....TRIUMPH!!!!!....Good job guys from a former speedway rider (no star, just so, so) Who appreciates all motorcycle competition.

These comments are hilarious! I think one or two may be missing the point. Great to see so much decent British iron being thrown recklessly at a hill. Couple of good riders showing just how competent BSA unit singles are off road, but mostly I'm loving the fat old blokes taking it up there. They could be at home polishing their bikes, but instead they're giving them a good blow-out. Love the attitude of the guy taking the speedway bike up there. Bet he had the best laugh of the lot!

you can tell its steep, and obviously a challenge. but it still looks rather easy in comparison to nearly every other hill climb.

Some of these riders are real dweebs - they don't know how to climb with a dirt bike. Watch how many of them don't downshift after they hit the jump. Some don't have to because their bikes have plenty of HP and torque in higher gears, but listen to the other riders allow their engines to start cutting out because they fail to downshift.
