Some REALLY strong climbers here, great footage. Some of these climbers are climbing even better and stronger over 12-13 years later. Crazy.

yomattieT you don't need to be on any kind of team to get on these awesome routes. Everything is open and free at Red River Gorge. Just drive to kentucky, and climb!

@JBarPlaysDrums its the us system of rating a climbs difficulty, its equivelent to a uk grade E10 (7a), or a french 8b+ or to a non climber, its stupidly stupidly difficult!

yeah i know it doesnt mean its high , but when its harder it just feel less confortable to go higher , cause it always feel like your gonna fall . And yeah , i was afraid of heights i liked climbing so much that i climbed dealing with it , and now its almost completely gone . And what does it mean are any of you climbers? When can you say your a climber? I just like climbing , regardless of my skills , and dont mind if people dont recognize me as a climber , as long as they leave me doing it

You can get a gym membership for like $40-50 a month and a starting pair of shoes for like $80...
@johnraponkus27462 жыл бұрын
you can buy your way up mt. everest if you like. they have ladders to climb on there. depends on what you call rock climbing. I walk up rock that would have these KZbin 'climbers' crying. but I am an old man.
@johnraponkus27462 жыл бұрын
nothing. just get off your ass, find a mountain n go. spending money on it is for para/ pseudo climbers.

sometimes grippy tape is wrapped around hands when climbing cracks and such. rubber kneepads too. and ive know climbers to tape the tips of their fingers with superglue, but honestly human skin, when its not sweaty, its grippy enough in itself. and i guess tradition and style come into play, but i dont think style and tradition are always top priorities for all sport climbers.

@tryandlike Nothing except a decent pair of shoes, a sit harness, a couple of locking biners, a belay/ rapel devise and some buds that are willing to show you the ropes. You'll build you rack and skills a little bit at a time. Stay safe.

..........r any of u climbers?...5.11 doesnt have any relativity to the height just how hard it is....but i also do doubt you can climb with being afraid of heights...
@sarvelaj12 жыл бұрын
climbers need the sensitivity of human skin when climbing at extreme grades such as these. Gloves would do more harm than good once you are climbing anything higher than 5.10.
