This is outstanding footage. You caught a moment in time that bent my mind. I am sure it is much more impressive if seen with one's own eyes. The size of the chunks were enormous. I sure would hate to get caught between any of them. Great Post!!

Thanks. Those blocks of ice were much larger than they appear to be.

Amazing sights and sounds. Your note implies this isn't a typical annual event?

So addicting! Do you have more of this event?

I remember when I was very young, my dad would go buy blocks of ice that were cut out of Lake Erie for our ice box. That was before we had a refrigerator.

It's disgusting what they're allowed to dump into rivers nowadays.

+Boro Nut WTF are you on about? It's the Spring Ice Breakup, not pollution you nitwit!

+Honimaka Oh don't be so harsh Hon. We should all endeavour to make allowance for those who don't necessarilly share our depth of experience. There are probably hundreds if not thousands of people new to KZbin who have never seen the like of this before. We shouldn't denigrate them just because they lack the necessary acumen to discern what the rest of humanity might clearly recognise is a blatant joke.
