I love his films! It explores the difficult lives of people who are struggling in society. His films are very raw and as is, which gives a chilling reality to viewers.

I watched it 5 times at least! Lol I DVR’d it, it’s just hard to explain why it’s so good, it just is! Maybe bc the characters are so gritty and real. The scene where they go to the donut shop and are so excited because they can get donuts for a treat, that was my favorite scene in the whole movie. ❤

10:20 she is on the money about the atmosphere and seeing those oil refineries. Seeing them in the movie elicited a very nostalgic feeling for me. I would always look at them out the window as a kid while my dad was driving and see them.

When I watched film some things bothered me ... Like... Bad acting of June, scenes of a dog with no reason... otherwise the film was so refreshing... So "never seen before"... And after this interview, when I have found out June was actually amateur actress, the dog was just an orphan and that backyard is not even the scene (but it was real backyard)... It is just mind blowing. congratulations for your work.❤
