My piping going into the sump is on left side. I cut the hose down to like 8” and connected the reefmat on the left side closest to the pipes so I don’t have any excess hose in sump. Real easy to cut, I used a scissor with no issues. Also, my hose goes in on left side and the motor is mounted on right side of the reefmat. It was just easier for me that way.

Thank you for the review! Just a small question: for how many days do you need one roll, and how often will it need to be changed? Yes, I understand that everything depends on the amount of dirt, and so on. But how exactly in your aquarium?

Does having a filter roll smell with the dirty roll side sitting there ?

Nope not at all. I am sensitive to smell and haven't noticed anything whatsoever. In fact, it has helped somewhat in taking the 'sump' odour out. I am heavily stocked.

Did you have a problem with air bubbles coming to filter chamber ?
@gildarts26912 жыл бұрын
No I didn't. It sounds like (no pun intended lol) a down flow issue - try adjusting the valve and ensure the connection is air tight

Put the flexible pipe on the right side and cut the excess

Good shout. I felt there wasn't enough room in my tank to do it from the right but will check.. you have the same tank?

The white glue you have used which is infact a flexible silicone to connect the reducer pipe together is wrong it is meant to be used for your flexible hose, you will need proper solvent cement otherwise over time your joint will fail.

Thanks man. I figured that. I have a glue at home already. Wish it was spelled out more clearly that hey you will need your own solvent or have one ready when setting this up. I hope it was obvious for most people though. I do love it.

Can you explain which glues goes where just a little bit better please?TIA
@gildarts26912 жыл бұрын
@@jimpool2972 the glue that comes with it is to be used for gluing the flexible pipe to the reducer/connector as per the instructions in the booklet. However the connection of this reducer/connector to the return pipe needs a pvc solvent or cement. I didn't do that and used the glue for flexible pipe. It may come loose but for now its holding.
