Do you have to have a reef link to use the software or does it talk to the software independently

The maximum glass thickness on the mp10 is 9.5mm accordingly to ecotech and that rsr170 panel is 10mm i believe, so any negative behavior from the powerhead on this scenario? It could get more noisy or even fall for those extra 0.5mm? Thx!

I own a reefer and asked the same thing. The front and back panels are the full thickness listed, but the side panels are slightly less thick. With that said, I have 2 mp10's mounted on the back glass. They've fallen off a couple of times when snails have gotten wedged between the propeller housing and the overflow box, but overall, stay in place pretty well.
