I always seem to keep coming back to watch this build over and over again just because it’s so satisfying to watch. Because of you I actually started building my own RS a couple of months ago. But because of the pandemic parts are taking forever to arrive. Also quick question for the neck before you put the fret board on it is the neck surface level with the body? I can email you some pictures if that possible because with your build it’s kind of hard to tell. And the Rs Library doesn’t say any specifics either. Anyways love the build came out amazing can’t wait to see what else you’ll come up with in the future!

Lovely build. Did those tuners come with press-fit bushings? The posts in most tuning machines will have slop that a bushing helps stabilise. It doesn't sound like you're having issues, however trem use will encourage any slop in the posts to start slipping. Beautiful sound. I really need to get around to developing a set of IRs around the RS, AC30s and the Deacy....
@Lukeyourself5 жыл бұрын
No bushings on these tuners. The holes were drilled very carefully, then reemed to the exact size of each tuner. This is, how I understand it, how the original was done. So far they're holding pretty darn well. One of them has issues with LOOSENING the string, but tightening and holding seems to be ok. I might just change that one out eventually.
@TristanJCumpole5 жыл бұрын
@@Lukeyourself Awesome. That's pretty much how I'd go about using them if bushes weren't an option. A little stearine every year or so helps prevent binding if they're super tight. I guess if they were reamed, the narrowest point would be at the top in a taper. I love the look of open gears. What ratio are those?
@itsmikee19944 жыл бұрын
