Really nicely narrated video! It almost seems like most videos I see of Japan have flowers in them prominent, which isn't a bad thing that Japan is so vibrant in that sense! Can't wait to go to Japan sometime. Thanks for the glimpse into the festival!

+Ryan Brown (Lost Boy Memoirs) Thank you! Yes, Japan loves their flowers and they go all out in celebrating them! There's always some kind of flower festival going on :)

+CuriousCalifornians Thanks for watching! We just love how the Japanese plant their flowers en masse and create the most incredible displays! We never used to be so interested in flowers or gardens until we came to Japan!

Yeah, this past weekend Ben and I visited my grandma (who's 94) and her backyard garden is her baby! She is outside every day and uses it as her exercise! She used to be a farmer. I'm sad that I did not get that green thumb unfortunately. haha!
@Notesofnomads9 жыл бұрын
+CuriousCalifornians That's awesome! Yeah, no green thumb for me either. Haha At least in Japan we can enjoy seasonal blooms without having to do any of the work ourselves! Haha

+Courageously Free Travelers We never get tired of Japan's flower festivals, or any of their festivals for that matter. We love how they celebrate everything, even if that thing only exists for a few days of the year. They are really at one with the fleeting nature of the world around us.

Yah I was just about to say.. what's up with japan and flowers.. ha ha:) It looks gorgeous, that couples wedding photos are going to be beautiful:)
@Notesofnomads9 жыл бұрын
+One Girl One Suitcase Haha Yes, if we posted about all the flower festivals we have been to, we could probably make an entire playlist just on Japanese flower festivals alone! Haha The lilies were so beautiful and I thought the same thing about that couple's wedding photos. Almost makes me want to do another wedding photo shoot, even though we got married seven years ago! Haha
@Onegirlonesuitcase9 жыл бұрын
uh it's never to late.. except I will not even get close to fitting in to my wedding dress either, or maybe you do? I think you should make a playlist on flower festivals.. when there are so many you guys will be the once getting the plays for those, 'cus you would have almost all of them:)
@Notesofnomads9 жыл бұрын
+One Girl One Suitcase Yeah, I don't think I'd fit into my wedding dress now either! Haha Plus it's in Australia. Would be fun to get dressed up in kimono though! Perhaps we should start posting more on flower festivals. ;)

since i will be making a design based on this flower, i would like to ask is it a thing that swallowtail (mostly black ones) are associated and is very famous, having a linkage with manjushage?
