I recently found a hawks nest and it became my everyday routine to check on them. I found the three babies out their nest one was dead one was weak and one injured. I was more emotional than I thought I’d be. The SPCA came for the two surviving birds and I hope they live long lives. The parents are mourning this morning for them but they would not have survived the night. This brought happy tears.

I'm so glad that the SPCA became involved so the babies had a chance to survive. The red tail hawk has been a buddy of mine for years. Whenever I am struggling with something emotionally if I see my friend the hawk it assures me that I will be best for me to release the problem to Spirit and relax knowing that all will be taken care of without my anxiety.

This video brought tears to my eyes, It is a passionate and wonderful thing you guys do, When I was a kid, I was always fascinated with Birds of Prey, Read plenty of books about them, In california, I used to to enjoy passing the time, bird watching, seeing those magnificent Red Tailed Hawks soar in the sky. I now reside in Florida, and Ive been reading laws about Falconry here.

Hi Rick. Thanks for the video. Recovering in a rehab center right now. Was in the hospital for a week. Had a flare-up of my sjogren's disease. It's autoimmune problems. Hopefully I'll be home by October 24th.

I thoroughly enjoyed your video production. Really dig those redtails; all the little creatures, snakes, rodents, rabbits, city pigeons and more better watch out. Once fledged and on their own, these redtails will be a force to be reckoned with.

Very nice in ‘19 I had a nest of 4 Red-shouldered Hawks that I watched from the time the parents started building the nest in a Palm Tree. This year 2020 they built another one in the same Palm but the city parked big trucks right under them so they moved, the chicks (at least 3) got to about 4 weeks and then there was a 4 day in a row torrential storm cycle that came through and like that they were gone, I think it was a GHO that lives near by that couldn’t find other food and so it took the calculated risk of taking the young RSHA’s despite the fact they had vigilant parents. Over 3 months later and my heart is still broken.

Beautiful birds! So glad they survived to fly free. Not a fan of the song though. A song about flying free would be more appropriate for these beautiful birds.

The vocalizations such as 2:48 are dubbed in, no? Because that is an adult Redtail cry, babies have a different scream.

Is it common for red-tail's to raise that many chicks? Most birds of prey I've seen videos on rarely raise more than one at a time?
