Hi Andy, love the videos! I have a quick question, in regards to growth rates, out of the Umbee and Black nastys, which will grow the fastest? I currently have some Black nastys but have grown around 4cm in 6months
@andywoodscichlids29422 жыл бұрын
It's so difficult to say as there's so many factors involved. Tank size, water quality, temperature, diet, and imo the biggest factor stress levels. Keep a aggressive cichlid alone with no competition they grow much faster in my experience.

What's up Andy a little off topic of the video but you're the only one I know with good experience of the parachromis red dovi , just bought one it's about 5 and 1/2 in and it's pure white do you think I have a female or is it going to peel and turn orange at that big?🤔
@andywoodscichlids29422 жыл бұрын
Very difficult to say. Most of mine went from normal coloured at fry stage. Then white at 2 to 3 inch, then gradually turning yellow orange as they grew. They can change month by month as they mature. You will definitely now if you have a male. Look for freckling in the unpaired fins. Just like normal Dovii, and most parachromis species. Good luck with your Dovii, and happy fishkeeping to you sir

Hey andy do you have any idea on how to ease aggression between green terrors. I have a mating pair of green terrors but the female constantly attacks the male and has brought him close to dying several times.
