People like to talk down Red Velvet when it comes to rap but: - how many groups can basically rap with 4/5 of their members (maybe even 5/5 if Seulgi was just derp in that one variety show) - how many female rappers in kpop at the moment got that soft style that Irene and Bora do? The way RV is built is not just focused on vocals like what many people think... RV is all about real versatility. For all we know, they may even come out with a hard hitting rap track in the future if they so wished and it will sell like hotcakes.
