I dare SM to release the unscesored version. I swear that I will take back every single bad thing I have said about the company. *Btw, it isn't confirmed that this is actually the case.* There are many speculations about this matter and SM still has to address it. I hope I didn't confuse anyone with this, but the censoring part seems the most logical to me. That's because we all know that the korean broadcast is sensitive for all kinds of stuff and seeing that Irene's knife isn't in the music video but was in the teasers made me think about it being censored. I also have read other speculations, but this matter stil left many question's within me. I hope SM will speak about this soon and will clear things up for us. Again sorry if I may have confused anyone

People are speculating other than the "explicit" scenes between Irene and Seulgi. The main consensus is that the promotional scenes of Irene holding a knife were removed or minimized. It's crazy that a gun is not a big issue but the knife is. I heard unlike the west specifically the US gun control in S. Korea is so strict that crimes using other weapons such as a knife are more common. So that's it they thought the knife was promoting this wrong type of idea.

If you watch the original MV, at about the 20 second mark you can see Irene stabbing something (maybe a doll?) but the image is cropped so you can't see what she is stabbing. I'm guessing that was also part of the edit. This plus the Irene plus knives being edited out leads me to believe that the edits weren't related to anything sexual. They were done to reduce the violence and, thus, reduce the age rating on the final video.
