i LOVE how much appreciation and praise and support the girls are getting for this comeback. zimzalabim was big but divisive, umpah umpah was great but kinda flew under the radar, but this comeback is just such a perfect storm on every level (quality, popularity, EVERYTHING) and PEOPLE ARE FINALLY TAKING NOTICE AGAIN MY HEARTEU this is such a great way to end off not only the festival trilogy, but the year too. the last little “hey now we’ll be ok” anthem is a really warm sendoff to a pretty bittersweet year personally for me, for kpop as a whole, and for the world. we’ve lost, cried, hurt at points, we’ve gained, laughed, loved at some, but this comeback is a sincere reminder that despite all the up’s and down’s of life’s odd little parabola, we sure will be ok. In one word, this song is epic. It does everything. Dark carnival strings, dream-like fantasy arpeggios, spaceship ambience, future bass chorus, with an epic outro where they take the motif that caps each chorus and turn it a brand new bridge. It's a fantastic song. Not only that, but the video editing is mindblowingly high quality. Color grading is pretty much perfect. They went with ultra wide for the cinematic feel. Lower contrast, lower saturation grading. Super tasteful all around. So glad I got to see this.
