In the 1st chorus it is Seulgi who is singing “psycho..Babo babo” in the higher tone. Then it is Wendy in the second chorus. If you hear gorgeous little ad-libs, runs, and high notes in the background of Red Velvet songs it is usually Wendy and Seulgi. BUT don’t forget about Joy! Joy also has some beautiful adlibs and effortless runs in some of the songs.

Yep. Red Velvet covered all the ranges needed. Wendy and Seulgi are known in the industry for their voices. Joy with her bright unique vocal tone. Irene and Yeri can sing beautifully too. They are superb in harmonizing. Red Velvet’s teamwork is top notch, they have different roles but they deliver it amazingly.

Psycho is one of the best pop songs of the last decade. For top line vocal groups of kpop that you enjoy, Mamamoo and Red Velvet debuted in the same year and are great friends. How lucky we are to have been blessed with so many great voices and songs since 2014.

That's red velvet's main dancer and lead vocalist Seulgi 💛 at 8:16, during psycho Era when Wendy💙 was injured she took care of Wendy's lines when they performed psycho at award shows and she also did a great vocal job! And one of the tracks of Wendy's solo album called Best friend was sung by Seulgi and Wendy and during the behind the scenes of that album Wendy and seulgi shared that their dads still confuse their vocals to this day😅 Joy 💚 the one with the bangs is the closest to Wendy and like the youngest Yeri💜 who was next to her they both have such uniquely nasally vocals that's soo sweet like honey to the ears. Of course the leader of the group who was in the middle Irene♥️ has such a stable lower register that's so suitable for rapping and rapsinging which was why her and Yeri are the rappers of the group now.

I just found your channel today and thank you for reacting to red velvet. Yes, they have incredible range, every one of them has different tone colour but when they sing together, they sound purely heaven. Also, I would like to introduce you to EXO. They are from the same company as red velvet. Known as vokal king and have a very outstanding musicality. I'd say you definitely enjoy them. Guaranteed. Maybe you can start with their song called Tempo or maybe you can start with Baekhyun, one of their main vocalist. Song recommended; Cry For Love and All I Got. He's doing some crazy vocal acrobatic in both songs.
